Stripe tape is fun!

Hey my favorite people ever! <3
So I got all inspired by some amazing nails I found...I believe it was Chalkboard Nails. Yeah, we'll go with that!

Anyway, I wanted to do a rainbow, but what rushed out the door when picking colors, so I brought 4 lovely Zoyas with me instead!

Cut to the chase:

We've got Zoya Avery, Megan, Caitlin, and Mira!

Avery is the super awesome nude from the feel collection. After putting the stripes on i realized I should have went with a super pale grey or white, but eh, still like it!
Megan is also from Feel. Its a nice purpley grey color. Love it!!! Caitlin is more blue than purple, but still fit into the scheme pretty well. And Mira...LOVE Mira! It's the perfect purple...I think I say that about all of the purples I use, though...

Horizontal stripes may have been a bad idea after all. Short nails should be made to look longer with vertical stripes, so this just made them look squat and fat. Boo. Oh well!
Avery was PERFECT for my nails by itself...shoulda' taken a pic, but was away from camera when I did this; I'll get a swatch of it later. It made my nails look a perfect length, even though I think they are a bit short still!

For this I used striper tape. I will get a tutorial of that up soon, I should hope. Again, wasn't able to do any pics beforehand. =(

I will soon do my rainbow....Do not fret! =D

Life is Good

Hello everyone!! Happy Easter still!
I'm sorry I have been away..I lost my SD for my camera!! =O And today I factory reset my laptop so it's all brand new and lovely, other than my editing program is gone...=/ I need to redo SO many things!!

Anyway, I couldn't stay away any longer. I had to do something, So I turned to the only other thing I have...A cell phone and MS Paint. YAY!

So I recently got into Hula Hooping. Oh my God it's FUN! Anyhow, it broke 2 of my nails, so we're back to little trimmed ones. Oh well! The hoop I just bought today is a super pretty fuchsia and black one. I was inspired and wanted to do a striped mani, but found myself with little time..So dots happened!

These pics...I just...ughh. I can't wait till I'm up and running again! Anyway, we have lovely Zoya Keiko and Venique Dominating Thigh Highs as the dots. I will do some stripeys soon! I just was in a hurry..Dots are fast!

Anyway, I will be posting some of my oooold work while my camera is out of commission...I've gotta find a card!

Also, what do you think about a lighter template? I'm bored of dark...I'll put the one I made up anyway, and you can tell me what you think of it. Don't know when it will be up...Hopefully tonight, but we'll see.

Hi everyone! Hope you're all getting entered into my giveaway!! Don't forget to sign up!

Aside from that, here is a slight V-Day mani. I decided that it didn't really have to be a Valentine's Day mani, because I love all year and never have any hesitation adding hearts to anything!!

I really need to work on my photography skills, I've decided. I have a fancy schmancy camera and only use the 'auto' function. It works. It does what it needs too, but I feel my skin tones aren't where I want them to be....Either that or my skin just isn't as pretty as it could be. That is true...I need better cuticle cream!

Also, meet my least favorite nail. You've seen it, but here is a proper introduction! Its my left index finger. The nail grows soooo slow, and is drastically a different size than the index on my right hand! As in, when I do artificial nails, my right takes a 4 or 5, my left takes an 8 if that makes sense to you! As you can tell in these pics, especially the first one, it's a baby nail and never proportionate to the rest! But oh well, yes? I could have it much worse!

Anyhow, this is OPI Done Out in Deco. Its the pretty lavender/purple color. The silver gradient is OPI Gone Platinum in 60 Seconds. I bought that for it's name... I do that a lot!! You can't see it in the pics very well, but there is a hint of Pure Ice Busted on the accent nail. I only put it on that one, then decided I didn't like it.

One stroke flowers!

Oh man, could this challenge be any longer??? Day THIRTY finally! Inspired by a tutorial is this one. I did this amazimg tutorial for this. She makes it look so easy! Well, I don't think it was that bad for a first attempt! I kinda (REALLY) love it!!

Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac, with acrylic paint over that. You guys should see my right hand. HA! It ended up with just accent nails, and oh man were they a terrible sight! Practice practice! But I am still in love, and will attempt this one again in the very near future!

Patterns and Hauls!

Hello friends!!! Been a crazy couple of days. Had a GREAT nail polish party! I'll post about it soon. Till then, here's my recent haul and day 26 of the challenge! =D

It's for inspired by a pattern. I like the pattern, but that "blue" is actually a VERY pretty purple! The camera just doesn't agree... =/

For this i used my NEW Venique Cosmic Phenomenon for the base, then acrylic paint for the black and white lines. Ulta Tink-Her-Bell is the pink glitter, and Color Club Secret Agent as the PURPLE!!! But whatevs. xD
So I had to trim all my nails so super shortish because 3 on one hand chipped the edges. =(

Onto the HAUL!!! Its sad really, I've noticed some peoples entire collection is as big as this haul...=/
This hauls is actually 3 hauls over the last couple days...

CG Italian Red, CH Classic Camel, CH Bing Cherry, CH Breakin, SH Chocolate Creme, Milani Silver Dazzle.
This SH is the PERFECT dark shade of brown! There's NO red to it at all. I love it a ton!
I bought the Milani because its a "one coat glitter". FYI, it still took 2 to get it where you'd want it!

Wingtip White, Dominating Thigh Highs, Kitten Heel Honey, Cosmic Phenomenon, SH Be-Jeweled, SH Lady Luck.
I'm really loving this new Venique line available at CosmoProf!!! The Purpley one is a little thick, but the others are great! But that's nothing a little thinner wont fix!!

Onto ZOYA!!! Raven, Purity, Kotori, Indigo, Felicity, Meiko, Laney, and Lisa.
I got these with their latest promo. The 2 free ones just pay shipping....Wellll, I decided to get the 2 free ones on top of spending $25 for free shipping!! So I bought the other 6 and 2 spoons to get me to 25 and there we have it!!! I'm so in love with Zoya! <3

Two wrongs make a right?

Hi all! I'm not a fan of half-moon manis, and that's what day 18 of the challenge is... I've been dreading it!!
On that note, I also don't like crackle that much either...So why not put them together??? =D

I freehanded the halfmoon after a failed attempt with some tape. That's hard considering the crackle dries so fast...

These pics were taken with my Nikon D50 with it's own flash in my light box. Yes, I have now decided that is what I will use from now on! I didn't have to fight with lighting at all...

Woo Hoo!!! Finally made a blog!

I apologize, I've never owned and operated a blog before, so here's to a success!! I am going to go ahead and start off with my Day 15 of my 31 day challenge, seeing as that is the mani I just did!!! Delicate Print today! Two coats of Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear - Grey Area, one coat of Pure Ice - Busted, stamped with SH Quick Color Purple Chrome pen.

That being said, I will get the entire 31 day challenge up at another point in time, perhaps when I am done? Not sure..We'll see!
