Untried Challenge Number 6: Cool

Hey! A day late on this one, my internet was down yesterday after work. Boo.

I'll keep this post short seeing as I have to be to work in a few minutes.

The bottle I'm holding is Cirque Planet Caravan. I have always felt that purples are cool colors, because it's a secondary color of blue and red, it could really go either way. So to make it more cool I've added Essie Dive Bar gradient. Now there is no doubt it's cool. Also a little sticker. Because it needed something!!
One pic today. It was hard to capture the subtle gradient in multiple angles, so this works just fine. =)

I'll have some super great swatches soon of some super great polishes I just picked up. Stay tuned!

I Stand for Marriage Equality!

Hey everyone! I'm sure you have seen this image today ALL over! Well, here it is again!

I stand for marriage equality! I sported my reds today! Nice top, 5 inch heels, no big deal! But I HAD to have it on my nails! Nothing fancy for this. Sadly, I had a bad break about 2 weeks ago. I mean bad! Barely recovering. So its just simple!

China Glaze Merry Berry topped with Essie Shine of the times! I realized I'm holding CG City Siren..I grabbed the wrong one for pictures!!! Oh well. You would have never known had I not told you!

Sadly enough, my ring finger has a wrap on it. The top isn't going to last long. =( Be prepared for 3 more weeks without a post. -sadface-
Or, whenever the length is reasonable, I suppose.

"Why don't you just do your right hand?"
Because...I've...I've been biting!!! I know, I'm terrible, but they look even worse and I feel bad!!! I'm working on it again. Sometimes habits get picked back up and they suck...

Anyway, EQUAL RIGHTS FOR EVERYONE!!! ♥♥♥♥

2 Older Manis to Share

By older I mean a week or two ago. Took pics, just never got around to posting. Oh well!

Oh. My. God. This is my new favorite color ever!! I've not gotten around to getting myself indies, yet. I want them, but haven't done it. This polish is my good friends A-England Saint George, with Zoya Storm tips. I can't tell you how incredibly beautiful this polish is. I wish I had taken better pics when I had this polish on! Simple mani, yes, but amazing colors!

 ♥♥♥

This is a simple mani inspired by Tartofraises. Essie San Tropez, China Glaze Fast Track, and China Glaze I'm Not Lion. The glitter is so minimal, but necessary! The dark brown is acrylic paint. I realize I just did another mani with the same colors, but they are great colors! I can't believe how long these rinestones lasted! Probably a good 3 or 4 days they stayed there until I took them off! Yaya!

Something pretty for a party!

Hey all! Busy busy couple of weeks! Been making tons of hula hoops, watching awesome Dexter, and had a formal party to attend for my work. YAY!!

Of COURSE I had to do a fancy mani! Even people I work with were saying ,"Lemme see your nails, I know you did them for this!"

So here we are! Sorry I didn't even get one pic of me in my pretty dress with my hair all did...Not my brightest moment. At least I got my nails!

This is the material on the dress, so that's what I was matching!

These colors are Essie San Tropez, Orly Luxe, and Butter London All Hail the Queen! No taping, I was too lazy for that. Also the gems are pretty and all, but only a few of them were even still on when i finally got to the party. Oh well!

You can clearly see the shortness in my middle finger nail. It's always the first to break. =( That was also the first gem to fall off too, of course!

<3
I can't wait for Halloween!!

Jelly Sandwich!

Here is something I am not used to, and still deciding if I like!!
Its a Jelly Sandwich with Zoya Frida and Essie Stroke of Brilliance.

I played with the lighting for this a bit so you can see the texture and color.
I still don't know about this look, but every time I see other jelly sandwich manis, I always want one!! To get this; do 2 coats of Frida, one Stroke of Brilliance, another Frida, one more SoB, final one Frida. You end up with 6 coats.
These pics there is no topcoat!! So that's cool! Oh so shiny! I had to put a coat of Seche Vite on though, 6 coats takes waaayyyy too long to dry without it.

What do you think of Jelly Sammich? =D

They keep breaking!

My nails just keep getting shorter and shorter...
I can't seem to keep them very long at all, and it's driving me nuts!! Well, I will make do with what I have!!
(while on the subject of make do, I was very confused it if was due or do. I seriously had to look it up! Then I almost left it at dew. ENDORSE PEPSI!)

Anyway, back to nails...please to ignore the dry cuticles, I forgot lotion!!

I started with a lovely, slimming neutral color. Essie San Tropez is so pretty!!

Stamped on some what I originally thought was bamboo...It's not. Looks kinda like crackle. Eh. China Glaze Street Chic.

Topped it all off with some China Glaze Fast Track!!! This pic looks great with the top on, but irl, you could hardly see the stamping depending on light.

Vertical lines make you look taller! =D

Giveaway winner and today's mani!

Hello everyone! This giveaway was so much fun! I'm glad you joined and thank you so much for the support!!
I can't even believe how many followers I gained with this, thank you!! Now I have to actually do something to impress you, yes???
I feel that maybe I cheated. Of course people will come if there is free stuff involved! But, I still did it, and here you are!! Don't go anywhere, you never know what I may do next.

Anyway, congrats to Lulu!!! She is the winner of the Summertime Giveaway! Thank you again to everyone who entered! It means so much to me that people actually like the art and obsession enough to look at it every now and again. <3 <3

So, here is my mani I did today. I just bought Essie Sexy Divide, Super lovely purple!!!
Purples are always so hard to capture. I had to change the temperature of the picture just a bit to acquire the actual color of the polish. That is a reason why this is the only pic, too!
I have to say, this pic is not one of my best, but also not the worse either!!

The stamping is done with a plate that I got in the As Seen on TV kit, but it is a knock off of M60. Love my cheapy plates!! The gold is a Sally Hansen Quick Color chrome pen. Those things are AWESOME for stamping! =D

I need more plates!! I really only have the Bundle Monster ones. Any suggestions of the best patterns? I love patterns that cover the whole nail! Super pretty!
Please let me know!!!

Have a fab day, everyone! <3

Candy Stripes

Hey everyone!!

The giveaway has closed!!! I will be announcing the winner soon!! <3 I have to go through and clean up the entries first.
Until then, here is a super cute mani I did today; complete with more pictures than usual! Woohoo! Tim says that his first thought was star burst, but not the candy! Then I thought of candy... and then it looked delicious!
I've been thinking lots of polish looks delicious lately...Whimsical anyone? =D

So I wanted to do something more colorful than what I have been wearing. I made a cool green franken on Thursday, but it's super fall-ish. I'll share it with you later!

This is Zoya Dana, Zoya Jolene, and Essie A Cut Above.
Zoya Dana is so pretty!!

After Dana, I used tape to apply Jolene. I'm a bit sad because Dana and SV weren't totally dry, wrinkling them a bit under the tape, and making the lines uneven..Boo.

While that was super pretty, I decided glitter. Right?? That's always a good finishing move!!!
I tried to gradient this, but it's not got enough glitter in it to gradient very well. But still so pretty!!!

Both of these Zoya are from the Flash collection. Check it out here!!

Claws!

Hello everyone!
I've been hesitant to post any pictures of my nails lately. They broke so short and are taking too long to come back!
But I toughened up and just did it.

This is a fun half-moon kinda mani I decided to try. I was just going to be boring at first and do a solid color, then Essie Shine of the Times called to me. After that I just needed a tape design! I think they look like claws and I need to do this design more often, totally in love!

So here we have Zoya Neeka, Essie Shine of the Times, and Zoya Dovima!

I wanted more pictures than just one, but after I took them I just decided my middle nail is still a tad too short for my liking. I also wanted a progression, but same story. So you get one pic!

The tape on the middle finger went all askew, and of course you cant see that irl, just in pictures!

I'm totally digging the Dovima with a top coat! It's actually a matte finish, but it had just the right amount of shimmer for this mani when shiny, so its perfect!

I bought Art of Beuty (Zoya, Qtica) nail growth stimulator a week ago. I've been using it as a base coat, which is perfect since I change my nails at least every other day! Hopefully it will do all it says! =D

I wanted something dark.

Hello!
So you guys ROCK a lot! =D

Anyhow, Today I went to the store to get a new purse, and instead walked out with nail polish! I was fully intending on swatching them, then I did, and realized my camera was set wrong. Meh.

So then I did this!!

I had to get different angles to see the awesome glitter! =D
So with this mani, I used China Glaze Ruby Pumps, Zoya Raven, and Essie Masquerade Belle.
this will probably the only time I willingly pick Ruby Pumps over Ring in the Red... Or I'm liking it more. Either way!!
I got fancy little stripe tape! What would you call that? I don't know! I wish it was thinner. It's a little wide, but still nice!

Do you ever have those moments when you are staring at your vast collection in search for reds and realize...You have NO dark, deep reds!?! Grrr...I finally remembered that I snagged this Essie in an Ulta clearance once. Not exactly what I had in mind, but it works. Clearly I need to get some reds!! =D

Also, I've been hooping a lot lately, and my hoop is kinda heavy, so sometimes when I catch it it chips my nails and it suuuuckkks!!! =( Oh well! Hooping is fun!

I just realized the cuticles are a little tiny messy. oh well! It's 1am and I should be sleeping anyway!
Hope you all are doing well and enjoying the giveaway!!

Mattified Flakies

Hello lovely people!
I've been busy the last few days!! I had a GREAT Nail Polish party with my friends on the 1st. No pics this time...Yeah forgot cameras. Been working on a new system for work...Been CRAZY!

Well, here's my mani, and one of my FAVORITE looks ever, then more story!

Please, click the images to see the effect of the flakie!

I LOVE this Essie topcoat. It's Shine of the Times. I feel a little behind the times, everyone else has already gotten over the fleck fad it seems, but not me! Still in love. Anyway, Its SotT over CH Ingrid. I mattified it with Hot Topic's war paint mattecoat. It's like 3 bucks and works as well as, if not better, than my $10 Sephora topcoat. So go to the mall and pick one up if you don't have one!

THIS STUFF!!!

Anyhow, so re-grats to the winner of the giveaway! It was a ton of fun. Brooke loved the fleck effect! What's great, is I got to actually meet up with her IRL, seeing as she lives near. AWESOME yes? She is way cool, and it's always fun to have friends who share your hobby or obsession. You can never have too many!

Anyway, loves ya all.

Had to try my new Essie, may as well make it V-day!

Hello lovely readers! Hopefully this day is treating you fairly well. If you don't have a SO in your life, there is always nail polish!! And that most times is better anyway, yeah? xD
Anyway here's this. Got a clearance Essie and had to try it!

Essie Super Bossa Nova, with black loose glitter over a cheapy clear coat! I mattified it with Sephora by OPI mattecoat.
I love those fun little beads, but they take soooo long to put on. Also it got nudged and the lines went crooked. Whatevs!!

I didn't reaaalllyyy want to do a V-day mani, but my bestie got me a cute NOPI with little pink hearts. She used it and I was going to as well, but suddenly decided against it and here we are!

Baby Blue and Glitter Tips!

It's day 17! Glitter!! I decided I didn't want to full out glitterize, so here is just some nice tips!

Sponged Orly's Snowcone, with China Glaze's Snow Globe. Winter much? That all over Essie - Made To Honor. I love it! I will be redoing this mani when my nails are longer, for sure!!

I am going to start experimenting with my Nikon D50. Maybe I will get better shots with that! =D
