Day 13 - Flowers!

Hey everyone. Here is some more freehand fore you. In all honesty, I'm not a huge fan of this. I think it's my acrylic paint. It's just bad quality! But oh well, here you have it!

This is Sinful Colors Easy Going. Its such a nice soft pinkish white. Totally love it! The flowers are acrylic paint with a one stroke technique which I am not so good at. Practice practice!!! Again, it's probably just my paint. That and you are your biggest critic, right? Looking back, I shouldn't have put the little swirly pink things on..Yeah.

Day 12 - Animal 'Print'

More like animal "prints"!!
Ah haha, I'm so funny. /bad joke
This is Venique Wingtip White and acrylic paint. I wanted a new take on the animal print, because I don't want to do cheetah spots or zebra stripes. Yes yes, that's all lovely and fine... but Kitties! This is all freehand with my tiny brush that I wish was smaller.

I love doing freehand things, I just wish I had a teeny bit more creativity to think of things! But I like this a lot. =)

Day 7 - Black and White

I'm on the ball, YAY!

Don't forget to check out Lost in Lacquer and Lacquer Lily! These two are also doing this challenge!

Veniqure! Wing Tip White and Dominating Thigh Highs by Venique! Taping, striping tape, and splatter. Spatter. Either way! I used acrylic paint for the splats. It's much easier to clean, and sooo much cheaper to use for techniques that waste a lot. I was a little less than thrilled when the top coat dragged the black and made it all streaky. It was sooo perfect before then! But I still like it! I think it is super fun. There is way too much topcoat on all but the accent. It gives them this 'rounded' feel that I don't find appealing. Oh well, still cute!

I am seriously out of cotton balls... It is really putting a damper on my art. I hate using acetone with a paper towel! It just dries too fast.
Gotta get to the store.

Zombies on the Loose!

Happy Halloween everyone!!!!

I've seen so many cool manis for today. Lot's of zombie things that I want to do! However, I went a more simple approach. Just kind of the sidelines of the zombies, I guess. Well, you decide!

Sinful Colors Zeus(purple) and Nirvana (brown) kinda make up the dead flesh color, if that's what you take from it! I just figured they were good zombie colors. The stamp is BM 323, which is barbed wire. Unforetuneately the pics didn't capture it very well.

So there it is! IRL it actually looks really good! The wire is done with OPI DS Radiance.

As an after thought I added the blood spray. I figured a zombie would get out of barbed wire, right? As if that could stop them!! Ha!

Well, I hope everyone has an amazing Halloween. Keep safe out there. ♥

PS - I've been lacking ideas as of late. Does anyone know of a fun challenge I could try? Thanks a bunch!!!

Katniss Everdeen Nails - Girl on Fire

Hello everyone! So I found my SD card, but still don't have an editing program installed, so I couldn't quite get the pics as nice as they generally are...That's why you only get one. xD

Anyway, I finally broke down and did my Katniss Everdeen Nails. Or Girl on Fire Nails. Whichever you feel is correct!

I'm sad, yet glad her nails were not done in the movie. if they were, then it would have ruined my perspective of them! I wanted more red glitter, but my CG Ring in the Red is missing, so I has to use Ruby Pumps and I kinda hate it...

Anyway! Colors used was Venique Wing Tip White for the base. Then 3 colors gradient: OPI Need Sunglasses?, China Glaze Riveting (very important we have a Hunger Games collection in there!),Venique The Perfect Accessory. I used acrylic paint for the black. When that was on, I added the glitter polish to the tips of the flames. Again, I wanted little red stripe tips, but not with Ruby Pumps...=/ Seche Vite on top!!

Oh God, you should see how terrible my right hand looks. xD

Anyhow, I'm getting my next giveaway ready! Who's ready for some more Zoya!?! =D

These Are My Friends

Hello everyone!! So last night Courtney from GaGa for Nails and I had a little chat and it inspired me!! I ended up watching Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd and got my nails did!!

The cleanup with this was rough, being that I used acrylic paint, but I am still very pleased!!

Zoya Raven, OPI DS Radiance, Acrylic paint.

I don't know if any of you have seen Sweeney Todd, but you need to! The staged version is AWESOME as well. So if you can get your hands on that, or the Burton film, you won't be displeased. Who says musicals can't be awesome?! The silver represents his razor, just so everyone knows! Disclaimer: It's a gory film. But it's totally the most ridiculous fake blood you'd ever see, so it's more laughable than not!

So I work at a theatre. A real one! So everyone there knows Sondheim's Sweeney Todd and they all totally loved this design. I think it is fun. Probably more for Halloween, but I think it suits all year long!

What do you think? Any other movies I should be inspired by??

PS - Yes, I love Dexter. No, these are not my Dexter nails, although I have done those in the past and most likely will again someday!

One stroke flowers!

Oh man, could this challenge be any longer??? Day THIRTY finally! Inspired by a tutorial is this one. I did this amazimg tutorial for this. She makes it look so easy! Well, I don't think it was that bad for a first attempt! I kinda (REALLY) love it!!

Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac, with acrylic paint over that. You guys should see my right hand. HA! It ended up with just accent nails, and oh man were they a terrible sight! Practice practice! But I am still in love, and will attempt this one again in the very near future!

Let me know what you think and how I can improve! Thanks ladies!
Love you!
